Wedding Liturgy
As an experienced Liturgist I have helped many couples plan their wedding Liturgy.
I can guide you through the Service, making suggestions for Music, Readings, Blessings and Prayers.
Depending on the type of Wedding Liturgy I will sing and play at appropriate times pieces that the couple have selected.
In a Catholic Service, liturgical music will be played and sung throughout, in accordance with the guidelines of the Diocese. In this case a non-liturgical piece may be sung at the Signing of the Register.
In the Catholic tradition there is an option to have a Wedding Mass or a Marriage Ceremony without Mass. The Nuptial Rite, the words and prayers of the Sacrament of Marriage, can be celebrated within a Mass or as a Wedding Ceremony without the Eucharist.
For a Church of Ireland service you may wish to have some congregational hymns.
If you are having a Civil Ceremony you are not allowed to have any religious or spiritual material read out or sung.
I am happy to play special requests, providing I have the music and adequate time to prepare music I don't know.
